Event Type: Wedding
Venue: Trump Hotel Toronto
We loved this photo booth session! Cindy and William’s day began at the Trump Hotel in Toronto with Cindy and her gals getting ready and then the boys came knockin’ on the door for some good ol’ Chinese traditional door games. Photography was led by the Wedding Editorials’ team, who had permission to shoot inside the hotel which was really fun! They zipped up to some of the higher floors, which were gorgeous to shoot in.
The evening was filled with an emotional tea ceremony and followed by the wedding ceremony itself! We have to say that the Portraits On White were such a success mainly because the bulk of people we were photographing were Cindy and William’s parents’ friends – it’s so much more meaningful when everyone seems to know everyone. The kicker was they were so charismatic and full of expression! This is rather unusual for Chinese older people, who we find, can be more reserved and formal in front of the camera. Without the distractions of the usual photo booth (e.g. hats, silly glasses, fake mustaches etc.) it can be a daunting task to try to get some older folks to show some expression and animation, however, we’re always up for a challenge. Another thing we love about the Portraits On White service is that it allows us to interact with your guests one on one! We’re not just an automated service with a “butler” .. our team gets involved with the process of capturing these unique images you see below.
